## The Front Stage Curtain The Stage Frontdrop hangs in front of the stage and conceals the activity behind it during sound checks and setup. It can be raised, pulled aside, or left hanging—typical uses include press walls, sponsor branding, and concealing stage changes. If the frontdrop is meant to fall dramatically at the start of the show, you need a Stage Kabuki: the same fabric, specially finished for use with a drop mechanism. ## Frontdrop vs. Backdrop The same Decor fabric and the same printing are used for both. The difference is their position on stage: the backdrop hangs behind the performers, while the frontdrop hangs in front of them. Frontdrops are generally wider and longer than backdrops because they cover the entire stage opening. ## Material - **Decor 205 g/m² B1** — lightweight and ideal when the frontdrop is raised manually - **Decor Blackback 260 g/m² B1** — opaque and recommended when stage lighting could show through the fabric ## Finishing - **Grommets along the top every 50 cm** — for hanging from truss, a pole, or a keder rail - **Pole pocket** — tunnel for a rod or rope used with pull-up mechanisms - **Corner grommets at the bottom** — for securing the fabric so it does not move in drafts - **Weighted bottom hem** — for an even hang across the full width ## Typical Sizes - **8 × 6 m** — smaller festival and indoor stages - **12 × 8 m** — standard festival main-stage front - **16 × 8 m / 18 × 10 m** — XXL main stages - **25 × 20 m** — arenas and large-scale events ## Fire Safety Both Decor fabrics are B1-certified according to DIN 4102-1, including when printed. We will provide the B1 fire-safety certificate upon request. ## Delivery Standard production takes 4–5 business days, plus 1–2 business days for shipping—5–7 business days in total from artwork approval and receipt of payment within Germany.
